A low-key 4th.

Ian and I lazed around the house today.  He’s on call so we really couldn’t make plans to do anything else… which was kind of nice.  We’ve had a hectic couple of weeks.  No, months.  No, year.  It was pleasant to just be lazy.  We took a nap in the afternoon and watched fireworks from our yard this evening.

Speaking of fireworks, East Nashvillians are apparently nuts for them.  There were several “amateurs” in the hood putting on very impressive displays.  It was lovely and made lovelier by the fact that there were no crowds to contend with.  Right now as I’m typing, I can here the multitudes of booms and cracks from the massive fireworks going on downtown.  Maybe next year.
